Messenger: Enforce Password Changes

Scope

Steps to trigger mandatory password changes for users.

Instructions

1. Go to Tools > Account Settings or click on the school main menu.

2. In Security, tick Enforce password?

3. This will add a new field called Days before it expires > enter the number of days you want before Messenger will tell the user to change their password.

   • Note: If there are any users you want to be exempt from this feature, you can give them the user role Password Never Expires. Read our guide for more information: Messenger: Edit User Roles.

4. Click Submit.
