Messenger: Change the PIN Requirements

Scope

Steps to edit the message count for requiring a pin code.

Instructions

1. Go to Tools > Account Settings or click on the school name in the main menu.

2. In Sending, edit the number showing in Number of messages sent before PIN is required. The number can be as high or as low as you deem necessary.

3. Click Submit.

4. When sending enough messages at once to match or exceed the number entered, the user will see one of the following on the Send Message page:

   • If the user has no pin code, they must submit it for authorisation rather than sending it directly. The message will not be sent until they are authorised. Read our guides for further information: Messenger: Authorise Your Messages / Messenger: Authorise Messages for Other User.
